Dear Brother Thomas,
Maybe you don´t remember me. I am Brother Armando Solano Suárez, from Bogota,
District. I was in the meeting with the young people in Denver Colorado, in
1993, and then I traveled to Chicago, Il, where you were Brothrer Visitor;
then, I said hello in Winona Mn, in the meeting at Saint Mary´s University, On
September 2003, I was with other Colombian Brothers, in a special experience.
On December 2003, thanks to Brother Patrick Conway, we were visiting Washington
DC, and I was resting in your Bedroom a couple of days, so thanks a lot.
Right Now, I just to know that you are the new Vicario General, so
Congratulations dear Brother Tom, God Bless you in this new Ministery to our
Institute and Church.
Here in Colombia, my poor prayers, and Our Lady, Mary, Bless you in this New
Mission.
I am sorry with my English.
Sincerelly,
Brother Armando

Dear Tom,
Congratulations on your election as Vicar General! I was delighted to receive a text message from David Hawke earlier in the week to inform me. Memories from the 2000 Chapter have flooded back over these weeks, including your incisive interjections. I know the Brothers have chosen someone who will continue to good work of previous Vicars Generals. I wish you well and please be assured of my prayers for you in your new role. With best wishes & God's blessings,
Tony Cummins (ANZPNG District)

Congratulations, Tom.
What is it about our District that produces so many Monks who are
called to international positions? Can any other group match this?

Dear Br. Thomas,
Receive our congratulations for your election as Vicar General. We thank
God for the present of your life and work in service of leading the
Institute.
May the Holy Spirit keeps guiding you in this new mission of living the
"charm" of Religious Life in a way of Hope, and helping all the
lasallians to live as Jesus and John de La Salle want us to.
Be assured of our prayers and fraternal support,

Dear Tom,
The news of your election has filtered down to the Antipodes! Congratulations on this great vote of confidence in your wonderful administrative talents and your obvious commitment to Lasallian values. Aside from the "General Chapter Aussies" and the Brother Superior himself, you are the only one of the capitulants that I have ever met. Thus I feel rather privileged. Perhaps you may be in a position to come DownUnder some time during your appointment period. Your time at Sangre all those years ago would have famililiarised you with some of our local idiom, so language should only be a minor difficulty! Best wishes and may God bless your new ministry of service and discernment,
John Mitchell
