Jesus, who died and is risen, is our hope!
We are living in a time filled with terrorism, fear, poverty and sadness. Easter this year should be especially meaningful for us. The Risen Christ is the Lord of life and in Him life will have the last word. But it is up to us today to defend that life in all its dimensions and to fight against all forms of death and destruction, making our own the message of Jesus: "I came that all may have life, and have it abundantly" (John 10:10). We ought to be bearers of hope for the world of the young, especially the poor and those who need our support the most.
This assumes our being a new creature in Christ and it is to this calling which the Founder invites those of us who share his charism: "Since you are ambassadors and ministers of Jesus Christ in the work that you do, you must act as representing Jesus Christ himself. He wants your disciples to see him in you and receive your instructions as if he were giving them to them" (Meditation 195.2).
