Pedro Arambide was born in Gipuzkoa in 1941. While in charge of the Lasallian International Cooperation Body (SECOLI) in Rome, he was, for seven years, the driving force behind numerous aid projects for poor countries, mainly in Africa. For twelve years, he was in charge of the Mission Department of CONFER. In 1988, he founded the Lasallian NGO, PROYDE, with which he was involved for 10 years.
