VOCATION MINISTRY

The Brothers serve in over 60 Districts throughout the world. Each District has its own program of accompaniment for those men who wish to explore the question of God's call in their lives, although they follow similar phases of discernment. If you are interested in the vocation of the Brothers, many email addresses of our Vocation Directors are posted on our web site. You can email the Vocation Director in your area of the world for further information about our life.

CONTINUING FORMATION

Brothers involve themselves over the course of their entire lives in the process of growing towards human, spiritual and apostolic maturity. This process is what we call Continuing Formation. This happens individually and in programs set up in our Districts and internationally. International Continuing Formation programs are offered by CIL, the International Lasallian Center.

INITIAL FORMATION

Initial formation begins with a period of preparation before the novitiate and continues until perpetual profession. Its aim is to help the candidates to follow Christ according to the teaching of the gospel and to meet him in their everyday lives. The process of formation introduces them progressively to the spirit of the Institute.

THE SECRETARIAT

The Secretariat for Formation was created in 1985 to promote formation at an Institute level through means of dialogue between the Center and the rest of the Institute. They facilitate the exchange of formation experiences and information within the Institute and are responsible for the organization of different types of formation sessions at both Institute and Regional level. Brothers Michael French, Alberto Prada, and Timothy Coldwell are the current Secretaries of formation.
