World Wide Volunteer Program
This list of places, seeking both Brother and lay volunteers, was compiled from offerings sent by Visitors to SECOLI. Visitors, Presidents and Regionals are welcome to send additional offerings for listing. Updated lists will be posted here as they become available.
This list was created because of Proposition 21 of the 43rd General Chapter which states:
“That, in order to implement our association for the educational service of the poor, Brother Superior and his Council, in consultation with the Regions, draw up a list of places where apostolic work is being done, and where retired Brothers can contribute to the educational service of the poor for a specific time, through a spirit of interdependence and of the 100 plus Mission.”
The following general steps will be used by any who are interested in volunteering for any of the posted possibilities:
Step 1
Volunteers or retired Brothers interested in any of these offerings should email the contact person listed in column 3 for more information.
Step 2
If still interested the volunteer or retired Brother should contact the local Visitor (Provincial) in his or her area.
Step 3
If the Visitor of the local area approves the assignment he should contact the appropriate Visitor listed in column 2 to secure his consent.
Step 4
Both Visitors and the volunteer or retired Brother sign a contract specifying the nature and duration of this assignment and who will cover:
•Travel Expenses
•Room and Board
•Health/Life Insurance
•Stipend etc…
The Directors of SECOLI are Br. Stephen Tuohy and Br. José Manuel Agirrezabalaga. The Secretary is Miss. Leda Simeoni. |
