Brother Mamy Rabarone Olivier has been reappointed by the Superior General as Visitor of the District of Antananarivo. His new mandate is for four years from the 1st of July, 2017. The members of the District Council will also start their mandates from the same date. The Brother Visitor thanked the Brothers of the District of Antananarivo for their confidence and for their open collaboration in revitalisation the District to ensure that the Lasallian mission in Madagascar would be effective during his second period as Visitor.
Brother Mamy was born on February the 18th, 1974, in Antsirabe. He finished secondary school in Ambatondrazaka in June, 1992, and joined the Brothers the same year, spending one year in the Community of Saint Jean de Matha, Moramanga as a prospective candidate. In 1993-1994, he became an aspirant in Sainte Famille, Mahamasina, and a postulant in 1995. After four months postulancy, he entered the novitiate in Analabe-Ambositra and made his first vows as a Brother on August the 15th, 1997, in Soavimbahoaka-Antananarivo. He made perpetual profession on October the 10th, 2004, in Ambatondrazaka.
Brother Mamy Rabarone completed his studies in educational science in the CELAF Institute in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. After some years of experience in Community and in teaching in schools, he was sent to do the session of formation for formators in Antaponankatso-Antananarivo in 2005 and 2006. He held positions of responsibility in the District of Antananarivo as Directeur of the Postulancy and Vice-Postulator for the beatification cause of the Blessed Rafiringa. From 2007 to 2013, he was on the staff of the Novitiate in Notre Dame de Grâce, Bobo-Dioulasso, and at the end of that period, he was appointed as Visitor of the District of Antananarivo by Brother Superior General.
