Mr. Nicola Khamis, the Mayor of Beit Jala visited Bethlehem University on Wednesday 30th August and met with Br. Peter Bray, Vice Chancellor of Bethlehem University and Dr. Amal Hadweh, member of the Board of Trustees. Br. Peter welcomed Mr. Khamis and extended congratulations to the Mayor for his second term in office and wishes of a successful term.
Br. Peter briefed the Mayor about the latest development projects at the university that aim at enhancing the performance of the university in offering quality higher education to the people of Palestine, which is the main mission of Bethlehem University. He emphasized the importance of the new construction project which will house the Faculty of Nursing and Health Sciences. This year, only 191 out of 1126 applicants were accepted due to the lack of facilities and space.
