As part of their human and Christian training in leadership based on Lasallian values, 124 young Lasallian formators from the colleges of the Sector of Venezuela came together from the 4th to the 8th of July in the College San José La Salle in Puerto Cabello. They took part in the third stage of the Lasallian School of Training in Youth Leadership (ESFORLIJ).
The session included training input, times for prayer and personal meetings with God within a programme organised by the Brothers and the coordinators of the Young Lasallians Movement.
The young people also carried out work in the Lasallian Apostolic Service (SAL), which brought them close to the poorest people of the local area in which the college is situated to whom they brought the message of the gospel as well as giving them a community lunch which was given the name of “Olla Solidaria” [solidarity pot].
The purpose of the event was to motivate the participants to become constructive leaders in a society of love based on the values of Faith, Fraternity, Service, Justice and Commitment, which are seen as the principal elements in the work of a Lasallian Leader.
