600 Pupils from the Île De France Delegation mark the Tercentenary

Marc Segarra, delegate for the tutelle in Ile de France, scored a success! On November the 23rd, he collected together more than 600 young people from the establishments in his delegation for the launch of the Tercentenary in honour of Saint Jean-Baptiste de La Salle. They met in the church named after the Founder in the XV arrondissement of Paris.

Brother Jean-Paul Aleth (former Visitor) welcomed the group by showing them the splendid fresco above the church choir. He expressed his own feeling of joy at seeing the beautiful “living mosaic” of children from Issy les Moulineaux, Pantin, Igny, Rueil Malmaison, Saint Denis, Sarcelles, Rouen and Paris.

Every establishment had prepared a symbolic clock representing the passage of time in a spirit of faith and zeal marked by the opening of our schools throughout the world and characterised by the fraternel spirit which binds us together in Lasallian life and makes us proud to belong to the number one international educational network.

The Mass was magnificently celebrated by Monseigneur Lalanne and was attended by Brothers, Delegates of the area, heads and teaching staff of the different establishments.

Many thanks are due to all the young people for the beautiful way in which they participated. Once again, they were an honour to Lasallians.
