FORMATION Initial formation Initial formation begins with the Postulancy program which is a period of preparation before the novitiate experience and this period of formation ends with perpetual profession. Its objective is to help the candidate to follow Christ according to the Gospel and to meet Him in the candidate's own life, for the purpose of reaching a definitive commitment with the Brothers. Formation helps them to enter progressively into the spirit of the Institute.
Ongoing formation The Brother's formation does not end with perpetual profession. As the Rule says, all the Brothers are invited to "enter into a process of human, spiritual and apostolic growth that lasts a lifetime." Ongoing formation is done through personal plans and community and institutional programs set up by Districts or on the international level. One program of ongoing formation established at the Center of the Institute is CIL, the International Lasallian Center.
