Arlep – Reflection on the Lasallian family
“Centro La Salle Arlep” and the District Animation Team arranged some joint formation days on 19 and 20 September 2022 for the members of the Animation Teams of the six Sectors which make up our District. They were also joined by the members of the Coordinating Committee of Associates, the Animators for the Zones and members of other Charismatic Families. It was an occasion to welcome the new academic year by reflecting on the ecclesial foundations of the current process towards Charismatic Families in the Church as well as the institutional document “A conversation for the Lasallian Family. Deepening our identity”.
On 19 September the focus was on the Charismatic Family from the point of view of synodality and shared mission. Formation was considered from an inter-congregational perspective, with the presence of members of other Charismatic Families concerned with this process: Jesus and Mary, Marianists, Marists, Piarists and Franciscans of the Immaculate Conception, all members of the team that composes the Shared Mission Area of the national CONFER.
On 20 September the document “A conversation for the Lasallian Family” was presented. This document entails an boost for the journey as a Charismatic Family in line with the challenges set out in the last General Chapter and in the International Mission Assembly.
The main facilitators were Brothers Rafa Matas and Antonio Botana.
Weaving fraternities, walking together in spite of the differences as a source of richness, focusing on the mission of transforming the world through education, meeting the needs of those who are most in need, and building a spirit of family are the challenges and the motivation for continuing to make a reality the great project that Saint John Baptist de La Salle entrusted to the Brothers.
