General Services<\/b><\/h2><\/div>

\u201cThe Brother Superior General and his Council are helped in the work of government by a certain number of General Services. These are of two kinds: – there are those of an administrative nature which deal with everything to do with communication, the organisation of work in the central government offices, the management of temporal goods, juridical questions and relations with the Holy See;
\n– the others deal with missionary, educational and pastoral objectives and with formation in the Institute “<\/strong><\/em>

The General Bursar\u2019s Office manages the goods and resources of the Institute that depend on the Central Government, taking all necessary measures to ensure their real value is maintained.<\/p>\n

He prepares and controls the budget of the central administration. He receives and studies annual reports on the financial situations of Districts.<\/p>\n

He reports regularly on the conduct of business to the Brother Superior and General Council. At the head of this service is the Brother Bursar General. He convokes and presides over the International Economic Council<\/a><\/strong> (cf. no 20.2)<\/p>\n

The Postulator General is authorized to deal with all causes of beatification and canonization of Brothers who have died as martyrs or with a reputation for holiness<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As soon as his appointment is approved by the Holy See, the Brother Postulator General appoints a vice-postulator by written obedience for each of the causes for which he is responsible. Any vacancy as well as any substitution of the person responsible for general postulation renders such appointments null and void.<\/p>\n

Br. Peter Ryan<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

This general service is authorized by the Roman dicasteries to deal with, on behalf of the Institute as well as in the name of any of its members, any question entrusted to it as such. These questions are essentially of a juridicalcanonical order. (cf. no 61).<\/p>\n

Brother Procurator General keeps abreast of all matters dealing with Canon Law applicable to religious and curial practice; he informs the General Council on these same matters.<\/p>\n

Br. Alfonso Novillo<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

The Secretary General\u2019s Office is responsible for the implementation of means of communication between the Center and the different sectors of the Institute.<\/p>\n

Brother Secretary General makes available to the General Council, and all the different services of the central administration, all documentation necessary for their work, and puts at their disposal all the necessary supplementary materials needed for the preparation of their dossiers or projects for publication.<\/p>\n

He forwards the communications of the Brother Superior and the General Council as well as the Circulars and different administrative forms to the Brothers, communities and Districts.<\/p>\n
