\"\"Fostering a culture of solidarity was one of the themes addressed by the Plenary Assembly 2024 which took place at the Generalate from 8 to 12 July 2024. In this sense, the Office of Solidarity and Development together with La Salle Foundation<\/a> proposed some “guidelines in order to implement the invitation to be leaven for the transformation of a better world, through a quality education that is transformative, inclusive <\/strong>and at the side of communities that are on the margins”, as explained by the Director of La Salle Foundation<\/a>, Angela Matulli.<\/p>\n

\"\"“Our shared global mission challenges us to provide human and Christian education for young, especially the poor and those on the peripheries,” commented Pamela Gleeson, member of the International Economic Council. Enabling a culture of solidarity, then, is essential for the entire Lasallian Family<\/strong>, “in whatever roles we play, whether we work in schools, or other ministries or in administration, for example,” added Pamela.<\/p>\n<\/div>

The gift of fraternity<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"For the Visitor of the LEAD District, Brother Jose Mari Jim\u00e9nez, “one of the most important gifts of our Lasallian Family is that of building brotherhood and fraternity”. Hence “the solidarity movement is a wonderful opportunity to live out that gift, to live brotherhood and fraternity”, since “solidarity invites us to embrace a need that is much larger than our own personal projects, our own schools and communities, even larger than our own Districts<\/strong>“.<\/p>\n

\"\"Regarding this culture of solidaridad, Br. Olavo Jos\u00e9 Dalvit, Visitor of the District of Brazil-Chile, is convinced of the importance of “bringing hope to the people entrusted to our care<\/strong>, especially to those who are the preferred ones of the Kingdom of God, to those who are on the human, geographical and existential peripheries\u201d. \u201cLet us be bearers of hope”, Brother Olavo concluded.<\/p>\n<\/div>
