In this way, the Catholic Church approved the official recognition to the nascent Institute.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-2\"><div class=\"video-shortcode\"><iframe title=\"Hno. Santiago Rodr\u00edguez: \u201cCatequesis y espiritualidad son dos caras de una misma moneda\u201d\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/rJuuJrJp9qY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-separator fusion-full-width-sep\" style=\"align-self: center;margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;margin-top:10px;margin-bottom:10px;width:100%;\"><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-3\"><p><strong>\u201cThe first edition of this Bull was issued in a Holy Year and it is our turn to celebrate it in a Holy Year,\u201d\u00a0<\/strong>says Brother Santiago Rodr\u00edguez Mancini, Director of the Generalate in Rome, highlighting the coincidence of the Tercentenary.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-title title fusion-title-1 fusion-sep-none fusion-title-text fusion-title-size-two\" style=\"--awb-text-color:var(--awb-custom17);--awb-font-size:24px;\"><h2 class=\"fusion-title-heading title-heading-left\" style=\"margin:0;font-size:1em;\"><strong>God\u2019s presence in our history<\/strong><\/h2><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-4\"><p>In this sense, the Lasallian religious continues, \u201cthe Holy Year celebrates the incarnation of the Word. And that is the key to reading this event: to see\u00a0<strong>the approbation of the Institute as one more effect of the incarnation of God in history<\/strong>\u201c.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the celebration of the Tercentenary of the Letters Patent and the Bull of Approbation of the Institute, this year the Lasallian Family celebrates\u00a0<strong>the 75<sup>th\u00a0<\/sup>anniversary of the declaration of St. John Baptist de La Salle as Universal Patron of Teachers\u00a0<\/strong>by Pope Pius XII. This landmark event in the life of the Institute took place on 15 May 1950.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat is why the 46<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0General Chapter decided that this year should be declared\u00a0<strong>the Year of Lasallian Spirituality<\/strong>,\u201d explains Brother Santiago, \u201cand it is also the\u00a0<strong>Year of Catechesis<\/strong>, a proposal made by the Young Brothers at their last International Assembly.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-title title fusion-title-2 fusion-sep-none fusion-title-text fusion-title-size-two\" style=\"--awb-text-color:var(--awb-custom17);--awb-font-size:24px;\"><h2 class=\"fusion-title-heading title-heading-left\" style=\"margin:0;font-size:1em;\"><strong>Catechesis and Spirituality<\/strong><\/h2><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-5\"><p>When referring to the pairing of catechesis-spirituality, Brother Santiago highlights that \u201cCatechesis and Spirituality are two sides of the same coin,\u00a0<strong>because catechesis manifests the interior life of the educators, and the interior life of the educators nourishes that catechesis\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pope Francis, too, in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vatican.va\/content\/francesco\/en\/bulls\/documents\/20240509_spes-non-confundit_bolla-giubileo2025.html\">Bull of Indiction of the Ordinary Jubilee of the Year 2025<\/a>, has stated that this year is also an invitation to\u00a0<strong>return to the \u201coases of spirituality and places of rest on the pilgrimage of faith, where we can drink from the wellsprings of hope<\/strong>\u201c.<\/p>\n<p>For Brother Santiago Rodr\u00edguez Mancini, who is also Director of the Office of Lasallian Heritage and Research, \u201cwhen we speak of spirituality we always refer first of all to an experience, to the interior life of each of the educators\u201d, and \u201cthe experience is particular, but it is also communal, because\u00a0<strong>Lasallian spirituality is a spirituality of a community of educators, who look with faith at the service they carry out and discover what their place is in God\u2019s plan\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-separator fusion-full-width-sep\" style=\"align-self: center;margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;margin-top:10px;margin-bottom:10px;width:100%;\"><div class=\"fusion-separator-border sep-single sep-solid\" style=\"--awb-height:20px;--awb-amount:20px;--awb-sep-color:var(--awb-custom17);border-color:var(--awb-custom17);border-top-width:1px;\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-6\"><ul>\n<li>On the occasion of the\u00a0<strong>Tercentenary of the Letters Patent and the Bull of Approbation of the Institute<\/strong>, a virtual exhibition has been set up on LaSalle.Org which includes documents, photographs and historical images.
