The Superior General of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, Brother Armin Luistro, has appointed Brother Christy Croos as Visitor of LASAD* (Lasallian South Asia District), for a term of four years: from 15 May 2025 to 14 May 2029.<\/p>\n

Brother Christy, who was born in 1970 in Sri Lanka, took his first vows in 1993 and his final vows in 2001. His studies include a post-graduate program in Religious Studies and a Master in Business Management from Jaffna University <\/em>in Sri Lanka. Between 2003 and 2004 he did his initial formation at CIL <\/em>(Centro Internazionale Lasalliano<\/em>) and a more recent course in Lasallian Spirituality at St. Mary’s University<\/em>, Moraga, S. Francisco (USA).<\/p>\n

He is currently the Director of St. De La Salle International School<\/em>, Wattala, and a member of the staff in charge of the Brothers’ Novitiate. From 2015 to 2021, he was Visitor for the Colombo District.<\/p>\n

Following his appointment as Visitor, Br. Armin expressed his admiration for the work done so far by Br. Christy who \u201cbrings a unique set of skills and perspectives to the challenges and opportunities facing the District today, especially in promoting greater fraternal unity and mission effectiveness in both countries\u201d. Br. Armin also justified his choice due to the \u201cpassion and commitment shown in whatever role Br. Christy has been given\u201d.In his previous assignments, in fact, he has always manifested obvious qualities of a leader, especially as an educator, school administrator, and servant of the Brothers and Lasallian partners.<\/p>\n

\u201cDuring the District consultations we have conducted over the past weeks, most Brothers and Partners have expressed their confidence in Brother Christy’s leadership and are more than willing to support him in addressing the critical challenges that have arisen: the unity of the District and its financial sustainability, the quality of the Brothers’ community life and their pastoral accompaniment, to name but a few\u201d.<\/p>\n

Brother Armin also expressed his entire support, and that of the General Council, for the mandate given to Brother Christy Croos.<\/p>\n

The whole Lasallian Family wishes Br. Christy a fruitful and fruitful work.<\/p>\n<\/div>

*The LASAD District includes Sri Lanka and India. The unification of these two territories began in 2019 and concluded in February 2021.
