“We are bridges for peace: from conflict to connection” <\/b>is the theme that brings together the Lasallian Family worldwide within the framework of the International Lasallian Days for Peace (ILDP), which will take place between 21 September and 21 October.<\/span><\/p>\n

As in recent years, this initiative \u2013 led by the <\/span>Commission<\/span> on Youth<\/span> of the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools \u2013 coincides with the celebration of <\/span>the International Day of Peace<\/b>, established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1981.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On this occasion, starting on 21 September, these days will be <\/span>an opportunity <\/b>“<\/span>to reflect on our role as peacemakers in a world that longs for healing and reconciliation<\/b>“, according to the organisers.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>

Compassion, Presence and Action<\/b><\/h2><\/div>

In this sense, taking <\/span>Lasallian Reflection 2025-2026<\/b><\/a> as a source of inspiration<\/span>, under the theme “Everything is connected<\/b>“, “we are called to recognise the deep ties that unite us as a Lasallian Family and to respond with compassion, presence and action”.<\/span><\/p>\n

To make this possible, the Commission on Youth has designed “a series of weekly activities to <\/span>foster dialogue, empathy and engagement with the realities of conflict and peacebuilding in our communities<\/b>“. These materials, as well as the ILDP poster, will be available <\/span>HERE<\/b><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

“In a world that too often divides, we should be dreamers and agents of a culture of peace, with courage and conviction”, as Brother Armin Luistro, Superior General, recently reminded us in his message to Young Lasallians who gathered at the Generalate in Rome at the end of July during the Jubilee of Youth, when he stated that “everything is connected” and that “we are called to recognise the deep bonds that unite us as a Lasallian Family. On the same occasion, our Superior General reminded the Young Lasallians that <\/span>“the world has always been shaped by dreamers”.<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>
