\"\"From 14 to 18 March 2026, Brother Armin Luistro, Superior General of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, accompanied by Brother Anatole Diretenadji, General Councillor, undertook a canonical visit to the Sector of Mozambique in Beira, the country\u2019s second city. Over the course of five days, this mission was marked by numerous meetings with the Brothers, lay staff and local educational communities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Upon their arrival, the visitors were welcomed at the airport with songs, dances and a delegation of pupils and teachers, reflecting a strong sense of family. This fraternal atmosphere was evident throughout the stay, particularly during community times and the Eucharistic celebration at St Benedict\u2019s Parish, part of the local Church where the Lasallian educational mission is rooted and flourishing.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Sector of Beira has 14 Brothers working, in collaboration with lay professionals, in three complementary institutions: <\/span>Col\u00e9gio La Salle Beira,<\/span><\/i> CEALS (<\/span>Centro Educacional Assistencial La Salle<\/span><\/i>) and <\/span>Escola Jo\u00e3o XXIII<\/span><\/i>. Together, these institutions offer a holistic education to young people and embody the Lasallian charism in practice.<\/span><\/p>\n

Col\u00e9gio La Salle Beira<\/span><\/i> has established itself as a leading institution, contributing to financial stability and educational innovation. CEALS stands out for its work with the most vulnerable young people and for its growing social impact. For its part, <\/span>Escola Jo\u00e3o XXIII, <\/span><\/i>working closely with the diocese, provides a privileged setting for the implementation of the educational mission in partnership with the local Church.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"Discussions with the Brothers at various stages of the visit highlighted several significant points. The vitality of vocations is a strong sign of hope in an international context marked by their decline. The commitment of the pioneer Brothers and missionaries continues to inspire new generations, whilst emphasising the importance of ongoing formation adapted to current challenges.<\/span><\/p>\n

The meeting with the Archbishop also confirmed the recognition of the Lasallian contribution within the diocese and opened up prospects for the future development of the mission, particularly in areas where educational needs are most pressing.<\/span><\/p>\n

In a developing and rapidly growing country, the Lasallian works in Beira are emerging as key agents of social transformation. Driven by the commitment of the Brothers and their partners, the educational mission continues to develop, with the conviction that education remains a fundamental lever for the future.<\/span><\/p>\n

The momentum observed in Beira bears witness to a vibrant mission, destined to consolidate and bear fruit in the years to come.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>
