Following the worst earthquake to hit Colombia in recent decades \u2014 measuring 7.4 on the Richter scale \u2014 which struck the west of the country particularly hard on 10 August, leaving a death toll of at least 294 to date, 320 people missing and more than 115,000 people directly affected, as well as severe material damage and collapsed infrastructure \u2013 La Salle is appealing for global solidarity<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Two Lasallian educational ministries in the affected area have been impacted, and one of them, Colegio La Salle Pereira, has suffered severe damage that jeopardises its reopening and the continuity of its mission<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Without urgent intervention, the 362 students at Colegio La Salle Pereira risk being unable to return to their classrooms!<\/p>\n

The Lasallian network in Colombia \u2014 through the Norandino and Bogot\u00e1 Lasallian Districts \u2014 is mobilising to support the affected communities, collecting and distributing goods and humanitarian aid to those who have lost their homes or find themselves in emergency situations.<\/p>\n<\/div>
