These are musical groups that use their voices, with some string and percussion instruments and colorful uniforms, to bring joy and culture as they represent their localities or educational institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1367\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lasalle.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/en-la-puerta-del-Colegio-1367x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-72419\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lasalle.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/en-la-puerta-del-Colegio-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.lasalle.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/en-la-puerta-del-Colegio-768x575.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.lasalle.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/en-la-puerta-del-Colegio-1367x1024.jpg 1367w, https:\/\/www.lasalle.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/en-la-puerta-del-Colegio-1536x1151.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1367px) 100vw, 1367px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The <em>Estudiantina<\/em> La Salle of Puebla, Mexico is a musical institution founded in 1964 at <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.benavente.edu.mx\" target=\"_blank\">Colegio Benavente in Puebla<\/a>, Mexico. The purpose of this group is to carry La Salle&#8217;s message through music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is a group that is educational by its altruistic nature. For 55 years, the <em>Estudiantina<\/em> has been led by Mr. Alfredo Mart\u00ednez V\u00e1zquez who, at 81 years of age, continues to lead it as president.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Its members are young students between the ages of 15 and 25.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The group has toured internationally, including the United States and Central America. On the last trip to New York, they visited the Brothers&#8217; and school communities in Manhattan and New Jersey. This group has made 6 records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1800\" height=\"1013\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lasalle.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/En-las-calles-de-Puebla-1800x1013.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-72423\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lasalle.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/En-las-calles-de-Puebla-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.lasalle.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/En-las-calles-de-Puebla-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.lasalle.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/En-las-calles-de-Puebla-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.lasalle.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/En-las-calles-de-Puebla-1800x1013.jpg 1800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1800px) 100vw, 1800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Every five years they hold a meeting and present a concert for all ages, and every year the &#8220;former <em>tunos<\/em>&#8221; present a concert for a nursing home or orphanage as part of a project called #TunosPorSiempre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now there is a new initiative, as part of the activities that were created as a result of the confinement due to the pandemic that we are experiencing.
