The Varkey Foundation* promotes the Global Teachers and Students Prize every year.\u00a0 Both prizes serve to highlight the importance of educators and the fact that, worldwide, their efforts deserve to be recognised and celebrated.<\/p>\n

Similarly, the students’ prize provides for the awarding of a scholarship (worth US$100,000) among the most deserving students, including part-time and online students, who are at least 16 years old and enrolled in an academic institution or a training and qualification programme.<\/p>\n

Brother Armin Luistro, Superior General of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, hopes that next year “an institution, a student or a Lasallian educator can also win. Let us strive to have a chance to apply\u201d.<\/p>\n
