L’“International Lasallian Institute for Sustainability for the Environment<\/strong>“<\/em> (ILISE\/Victorin<\/strong>) e il “Center for Urban Resilience and Environmental Sustainability<\/strong><\/em>” (CURES<\/strong>) hanno invitato il Coordinatore delle strutture per la sostenibilit\u00e0 ambientale delle Universit\u00e0 Lasalliane della Regione Lasalliana del Nord America<\/a> (RELAN) a partecipare al workshop “Lasallian Universities North American Region for the Sustainability of the Environment<\/strong><\/em> (LUNA-SE<\/strong>)”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Questo workshop \u00e8 stato tenuto e sponsorizzato, il 5 e 6 settembre 2019, dall’Universit\u00e0 La Salle<\/a> di Philadelphia. Obiettivo di LUNA-SE<\/strong> \u00e8 creare una rete e aumentare la collaborazione tra le Universit\u00e0 Lasalliane negli Stati Uniti attraverso lo sviluppo di responsabilit\u00e0 ambientali sostenibili comuni, come l\u2019iniziativa di “Campus University Transitions through the Sustainable Developmen<\/strong>t<\/em>“, un gruppo di ricerca istituito dall'”International Lasallian Advisory Research Group<\/strong><\/em>” (ILARG<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hanno partecipato al workshop quattro delle sei Universit\u00e0 Lasalliane della Regione Lasalliana del Nord America<\/a> (RELAN): La Salle University<\/a><\/em> (Philadelphia, PA), Christian Brothers University<\/a><\/em> (Memphis, TN), il Manhattan College<\/a><\/em> (New York City, NY) e la Lewis University<\/a><\/em> (Romeoville, IL). Il workshop \u00e8 stato guidato dal Fratello Martin Montoya, FSC, Direttore dell'”International La Salle Institute of Sustainability of the Environment<\/strong><\/em>” (ILISE\/Victorin<\/strong>) e dal Dr. Scott Kerth, coordinatore del progetto di ricerca internazionale “Campus University Transitions through the Sustainable Development<\/strong><\/em>” e professore di leadership per il College of Business<\/em> presso la Lewis University<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Queste quattro universit\u00e0 lasalliane sono impegnate in 145 attivit\u00e0 ambientali: il 38% del totale delle attivit\u00e0 svolte dalle universit\u00e0 riguarda l’educazione ambientale, il 32% l’ambiente naturale e il 30% la sostenibilit\u00e0 economica. Le universit\u00e0 hanno stabilito quattro obiettivi comuni di sostenibilit\u00e0 ambientale come alte priorit\u00e0 da raggiungere per tutte le Universit\u00e0 Lasalliane degli Stati Uniti. I dipartimenti di sostenibilit\u00e0 di ogni universit\u00e0 hanno accettato di lavorare con la propria leadership per integrare questa mentalit\u00e0 in tutti i campus. Inoltre, i risultati hanno determinato che tutte le Universit\u00e0 Lasalliane degli Stati Uniti stanno gi\u00e0 rispondendo all’appello di Papa Francesco di prendersi cura della casa comune (Laudato Si’<\/em>) e che le medesime dovrebbero lavorare per introdurre lo “Sviluppo Sostenibile” nel Piano Strategico delle proprie universit\u00e0 per raggiungere gli “Obiettivi di Sviluppo Sostenibile<\/strong>” (SDG) stabiliti dalle Nazioni Unite<\/a> (ONU).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
