Brother Armin Luistro, Superior General of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, has appointed Ms María Eugenia Quinodoz as a member of the International Council for Association and the Lasallian Educational Mission (CIAMEL), from 20 May 2025 until 14 May 2028.

María Eugenia has been a Lasallian practically all her life. “I have been part of this beautiful community as a student since I was 3 years old”, she declares. Between 1999 and 2013 she did her initial, primary and secondary schooling at Colegio La Salle Paraná, where she obtained a baccalaureate diploma with a major on Social Sciences and Humanities.

Her parents have also been linked to the Lasallian Mission: “my father is a former student, and my mother has been a teacher in the same school”, says María, who is part of the District of Argentina-Paraguay.

In 2019 she earned a Degree in Psycho-Pedagogy from the Teresa de Ávila Faculty at the Catholic University of Argentina, Paraná. She is currently studying for a Teaching Degree in Higher Education at the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional, Paraná.

She has taken part actively in Youth Ministry, first as coordinator in her school (2015- 2018) and then as part of the District Team (2019-2024). Also, in 2022 she was a delegate for her District at the International Symposium of Young Lasallians.

She is currently working as a Psycho-Educationalist, Teacher, Form Teacher and Catechist at the Secondary level at Colegio La Salle de Paraná, located in the Entre Ríos region (Argentina). She also teaches Educational Psychology, and Fundamentals and Principles of Psycho-Pedagogical evaluation at the Catholic University of Argentina.

Regarding her new appointment, Maria comments that “the invitation to join CIAMEL fills me with joy and at the same time with the desire to learn and continue to grow in order to contribute to the mission bestowed to us by our Holy Founder”. “It is a challenge that I take on with great gratitude and responsibility”, she concludes.

With this appointment of the Superior General, CIAMEL is composed of seven members: Ms. Coreen Paul (President), Mr. Jean-Marie Ballenghien, Mr. Kurt Schackmuth, Ms. Doris Nzoundja, Ms. Adriana Bolaños, Mr. Joseph Gilson and Ms. María Eugenia Quinodoz.
