Councils of the Institute
In his service of governance, animation and leadership, the Brother Superior General is supported by and works closely with the three Councils of the Institute: the General Council, the International Council for the Lasallian Mission and Association (CIAMEL) and the International Economic Council (IEC).
General Council
” The mission of the Brother General Councillors is to assist the Brother Superior General in the government and the animation of the Institute. They share with him and under his authority all the tasks of the government of the Institute. ” (Rule 128).
CIAMEL
The International Council for Lasallian Association and the Educational Mission (CIAMEL) is a body for reflection and collaboration that supports the Brother Superior General and the General Council in the exercise of their responsibilities with regard to the Lasallian Educational Mission.
International Economic Council
The International Economic Council (IEC) assists the Brother Superior General, the General Council and the Brother Bursar General in the management of the assets and resources that sustain the mission of the Institute.
