Lasallian Heritage and Research Office
The Office of Lasallian Heritage and Research is divided into four areas: the first is Lasallian Heritage, which also includes three institutions: the Library, the Archives and the Museum. The purpose of this area is to preserve and enrich the Heritage of the Institute.
There is a section of the Library dedicated to children, as it not only serves researchers but also welcomes children from La Salle School, located next to the Generalate. Likewise, the Archive preserves documents and pieces that are part of the Institute’s heritage and three-hundred-year history, while the museum displays significant examples of this Heritage, either permanently or in temporary exhibitions.
The second is the research area, aimed at training researchers and promoting Lasallian research that may be published, and that is the third area, that of publications, which can be in print, digital or hybrid format, and includes the various collections of the Institute: the Cahiers lasalliens (Lasallian Journals), Lasallian Studies, Lasallian Essays, the Bulletin of the Institute, the MEL Bulletins, among others. This area is also responsible for the Circulars issued by the Superior General and his Council.
Finally, the statistics area keeps a database with information about the Institute, based on data provided by the Districts, which makes it possible to publish the Institute’s Statistics annually.
