The Institute’s Office of Professional Development  generally functions as a consulting body that supports professionalisation and sustains the professional career and well-being of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, under the premise that, as consecrated religious, the Brothers must be well trained and prepared to carry out their mission.

In this regard, based on the model of the Lasallian East Asia District (LEAD), the Office establishes an approach to assist Brothers in their educational journey through a process that seeks to ensure an appropriate balance for those engaged in the management of educational centres and various pastoral services. To achieve this, a selection team composed of lay collaborators and a Brother meets, considers and approves applications for sabbaticals and educational scholarships.
