Office of Safeguarding and Integrity

The Office of Safeguarding and Integrity has been created to assist Districts in developing, updating, and implementing safeguarding protocols. This Office therefore acts as a consultative body that seeks to ensure that all Lasallian Districts, communities and educational centres are “safe environments” and have up-to-date and appropriate protocols in place for the protection of all their members, especially children, young people and vulnerable adults.

To this end, the Office of Safeguarding and Integrity also supports Districts in appointing a Safeguarding Coordinator, while ensuring the ongoing training of those responsible for implementing safeguarding protocols, including risk prevention and management, complaints and/or allegations.

An example of this was the first International Lasallian Conference on Safeguarding, which took place at the Generalate in Rome from 10 to 16 November 2024.
