With the participation of more than 60 religious Brothers belonging to 14 religious congregations, including 9 Superiors General, the annual ‘Tutti Fratelli’ meeting was held in Rome on 25 November at the Generalate of the Comboni Missionaries.

On behalf of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, Brothers Armin Luistro (Superior General), Chris Patiño (General Councillor), Alfonso Novillo (Secretary General), Dante Amisola (Director of the Office of Solidarity and Development) and Hilaire Raharilalao (Head of Archives, Office of Data Management and Research) participated.

The theme of meeting, held in an atmosphere of fraternity, was “our experience of the synod”. Three Superiors General who participated in the first session of the 16th General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops on Synodality last October were invited to share their experiences and reflections: Br. Mark Hilton of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart, Br. Ernesto Sánchez of the Marist Brothers, and Fr. Tesfaye Tadesse, of the Comboni Missionaries.

After having listened to these important contributions, the Brothers discussed in small groups, in the perspective of discernment, before giving way to a space for open participation in which several shared their perspectives and comments on the synodal process, as well as posing questions to Brothers Mark, Ernesto and Father Tesfaye.

At the end of the evening the participants of the Tutti Fratelli meeting shared a moment of prayer for the intentions of the Synod and for peace in the Holy Land.

The meeting concluded with a dinner hosted by the Comboni Missionaries, which continued the spirit of fraternal dialogue that characterised the meeting.
