The District of Argentina-Paraguay is pleased to announce that the children’s book Tengo hasta ahí. Escribir para chicos y chicas by Florencia Gattari* has been awarded for the best theoretical production of the year 2025. The book was awarded by ALIJA, the recognised association of children’s and young people’s literature in Argentina, as one of the best books for children and young people.

ALIJA is a member of the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY) and works intensively for the international dissemination of Argentinian books, authors and illustrators.

It is also responsible, every two years, for selecting the author and illustrator who compete for Argentina’s Hans Christian Andersen Award (the world’s most important award in the field of children’s and young people’s books).

The prize, for the best theoretical production, is awarded by a multidisciplinary and federal jury, which is renewed annually, was presented on Thursday 8 May at the International Book Fair in Buenos Aires.

The District of Argentina-Paraguay congratulates the author, and the entire editorial team of La Crujía, which, by publishing within the District, continues to make a valuable contribution to its educational network.

* Florencia Gattari is a writer who holds a Degree in Psychology from the University of Buenos Aires. In 2007, she was awarded with the El Barco de Vapor prize and started publishing short stories and novels in Argentina, other Latin American countries and Spain. These include Vestido nuevo, Nadar perrito and Historia de un pulóver azul, for which he won the Destacado Prize de Alija and a mention at the National Awards. He wrote the screenplay for the documentary Vicenta and the family chronicle Tan temprano. He works as a consultant, writes and coordinates literary workshops.
