On 21 September 2022, at the Generalate of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, a meeting was held between the Councillors of both Congregations.
The gathering, coordinated by the Brothers Vicars of the two Institutes, opened with the prayer of ‘Fratelli tutti’.
The central topic of discussion was the echoes of the recent Lasallian General Chapter and those of the Marist General Conference (Intercapitular Meeting), during which the following issues were addressed: Marist spirituality, care for the common vocation, emerging needs, international identity, networking and the network and the restructuring of the Institute.
The Brothers from both Congregations also discussed the sharing of ongoing projects (such as the ‘Fratelli Project’) and the possibility of further work together, such as formation programmes in common or joint publications.
