Through its educational centres, the Lasallian Family listens to the needs of individuals, communities and the realities in which it operates with comprehensive and sustainable programmes aiming to make Lasallian communities and works development drivers for the entire community. The Institute carries out these tasks through the Office of Solidarity and Development.

This Office explicitly embraces Pathway of Transformation No. 7 of the 46th General Chapter to ensure the sustainability of the Lasallian mission. It works alongside the  La Salle Foundation and an international network of Lasallian organisations that promote solidarity, sustainability and commitment to the poorest and most vulnerable. An example of this is the Global Campaign 1 La Salle, an initiative to globalise solidarity and sustain the Lasallian mission in the peripheries.
