The 64 universities that make up the International Association La Salle Universities (IALU), the Lasallian university education network, meet at La Salle Campus Barcelona between November 10 and 12 for the XIII Encuentro, which will have previously been held between the 7 and 9 its first days at the UniLaSalle Beauvais (France) campus, the other venue for this edition.

The event will serve to assess the state of higher education globally and future strategies will be planned —which will be framed in the IALU 2025 Action Plan— to promote social innovation, quality accessible education and the training of agents of qualified and committed transformation.
Representatives of the 64 universities that make up the IALU, experts in university education and members of the Lasallian community will participate in the organized activities.

The ‘Encuentro’ will be attended in Beauvais by the Superior General of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, Brother Armin Luistro, and in Barcelona by the Vicar General of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, Brother Carlos Gómez. In addition, Peter J. Wells, head of UNESCO in Higher Education, will be the special guest.The motto of the event is ‘Transforming the future together’ and alludes to the main objective of the IALU: to promote quality university education in today’s diverse world from a commitment to Catholic values.
