Commission on Association
The 46th General Chapter of the Brothers of the Christian Schools has stated that Association for Mission guarantees a bold and prophetic Lasallian Family. And the Third International Assembly on Lasallian Educational Mission (III AIMEL) points out that the Lasallian Family, with its diverse vocations and realities, best serves the mission by creating new forms and expressions of Association and supporting existing ones to promote identity, vocation, spirituality, and commitment.
The Commission on Association works with all levels of the Lasallian Family to support and accompany effective structures and strategic plans for deepening Association in all Districts and Sectors. In this sense, it contributes to establishing networks with those responsible for Association, with the aim of sharing best practices and inspiring future practices, while promoting and facilitating opportunities to listen deeply to local needs.
In this way, the Commission on Association seeks to promote and grow Lasallian identity and commitment, helping to develop awareness of intentional communities and fraternities within the Lasallian Family, in order to promote availability and commitment to those on the peripheries, within the framework of the Leavening Movement. The Commission is also concerned with continuing to support and strengthen the role and leadership of women in the Lasallian Family.
