Office of Information and Communication
The Office of Information and Communication discerns, plans, implements and evaluates communication strategies and actions that contribute to the Lasallian Educational Mission, in communion with the Church and in close collaboration and coordination with the Superior General, the Councils, the Offices, the Commissions, the Regions and the Districts.
To this end, five communication challenges have been identified:
- Communicating to strengthen identity and a sense of belonging to one Lasallian Family.
- Communicating to make possible a more fraternal world.
- Communicating to make visible God’s presence among the poor.
- Communicating to strengthen our commitment to justice, peace, and care for Creation.
- Communicating to promote synodal leadership and sustainability.
In view to respond to these challenges, the communication of the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools takes on four key points in a synodal perspective:
- Listening more (“with the ears of the heart”) in order to communicate better.
- Conversing and discerning together to bridge the gaps that prevent us from “communicating together”.
- Producing multimedia narratives that challenge us and connect us as a Lasallian Family.
- Communicating to all and with all to move from connection to communion, participation and commitment to our mission in the peripheries.
Likewise, communication at the service of the Lasallian Family prioritises four groups of reference:
- Brothers of the Christian Schools and members of the Lasallian Family; lay collaborators.
- Students, parents, and alumni; Lasallian NGOs and foundations.
- Groups and organisations of the Catholic Church; religious congregations.
- The general public.
