On Monday 13 December the Ambassador of the Dominican Republic to the Holy See, Luis Emilio Montalvo Arzenov, paid a courtesy visit to Brother Superior General, Robert Schieler, at the Generalate in Rome.

It was a visit strongly desired by the Ambassador, who was a student of Lasallian schools at the Dominican College Salle, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, attending secondary school in 1961. He wished “to express his gratitude to the School of the Brothers of the Christian Schools for the intellectual, cultural, moral and religious preparation received during his studies at the school in the Dominican Republic”.

Brother Robert, Brother Superior General, said he was equally happy and grateful for the meeting.

H.E. Mr. Luis Emilio Montalvo Arzeno earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Fordham University, New York (USA); a Bachelor’s Degree from the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo and a Master’s Degree from Loyola University, Chicago (USA). He also holds a Doctorate in Medicine from the Technological Institute of Santo Domingo (Intec) and a Specialisation in Psychiatry from the Instituto de Investigaciones Neuropsiquiátricas (Clínica López Ibor), Madrid (Spain).

H.E. Luis Emilio Montalvo Arzeno has held various posts before presenting his Credentials Letters to His Holiness Pope Francisco on 23 September 2021.
