At the end of a long process of work in collaboration with the Lasallian Region of North America (RELAN), the new Bulletin of the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools (No 260) has finally been published, completely dedicated to the history and current reality of the Region.

It was a long task, commissioned in connection with the visit of Brother Superior General to this Region.  This publication follows three other Bulletins dedicated to three Lasallian Regions: RELAL, RELAF, and RELEM.

The writing of this publication was not easy. The pastoral visit of Br Robert and Br Tim Coldwell (Councillor for the RELAN Region), which began in November 2019 in the Districts of French-speaking Canada (October-November 2019) and North-eastern America, and resumed in March 2020 with the intention of visiting the District of San Francisco New Orleans and the District of Midwest, was suspended due to the very rapid spread of the Covid pandemic.

This Bulletin tells the story of RELAN, its strengths, innovations and challenges at the complicated time when this Bulletin was written: Association for Mission, shared leadership, evangelization, going beyond borders, the culture of vocations, formation, how the Brothers of this Region work and who they are, the Young Lasallians and their vitality.

The Communications Service of the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools would like to thank the RELAN Region, the communications offices and Brother Tim Coldwell for their collaboration and support in the production of this document.

Happy reading!
