In the context of the Solemnity of All Saints (1st November), and recalling the celebration of the first session of the Synod on Synodality which concluded on 29 October, Brother Armin Luistro, Superior General of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, has shared with all Lasallians a communication on the leadership, animation and governance of the Institute.
“We are united in prayer and communal discernment as we live the call of our synodal journey to the peripheries“, comments Br Armin at the beginning of his letter, in which he notes that all Lasallians “have begun to take up the call to be leaven for the world by responding with love, step by step, to the call made by our Leavening Project”
In this regard, and in continuity with his message of 4 June, on the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity, the Superior General provides “an update on the most recent organizational changes and the list of appointees for Institute positions” which respond, as such, to the “search for new models of governance and new paths for the Lasallian Mission”, in the light of the 46th General Chapter and the III AIMEL.
“We have already included some information and names in our earlier communication, when we discussed our proposed new governance structure. As this is a work in progress, I wish to give you the most updated list of the appointees to the Commissions and Offices of the Institute“, says Br Armin, while expressing his gratefulness to the “Lasallian Partners and Brothers who have made themselves radically available for the service of the global Institute”.
