La Salle Connection
La Salle Connection is a multimedia series created to connect the Lasallian Family with historical events that continue to inspire Lasallians today.
In its first season, we recount some milestones related to the life and work of our Founder, Saint John Baptist de La Salle, and the first Brothers of the Christian Schools, through short videos and other visual resources, in the form of comic strips.
Throughout these episodes, details, contexts and interesting facts are revealed that are often left out of the better-known accounts.
Furthermore, these narratives do not follow a traditional chronological order. Rather, they focus on key events that connect us with deeply inspiring, meaningful experiences.
Rather than revisiting the past, La Salle Connection seeks to build bridges to the future, with a dynamic narrative that connects with the Lasallian Educational Mission today, offering reflections that shed light on our educational and evangelising commitment, especially towards the most impoverished and most vulnerable.

La Salle, his family and his vocation
Before becoming the founder of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, John Baptist de La Salle, the eldest of several siblings, played an unexpected leading role within his family. In the episode of his life that we consider today, we will see how, through the tasks that life imposed on him, he formed his character and sought a deeper meaning for his priestly vocation.
